[Modeling] Space Wolf - Thunder Cavalry conversion (Pt 1)

Since GW decided that they were only going to release a single model on a Thunder Cavalry mount (Canis Wolfborn) and I am excited to play a strongly wolf based army, I am going to just have to convert them myself.

Now there are a few things I am going to need for this:

• Mount - I have no idea at this point
• Rider - probably regular marine biker bodies or just their legs
• Wargear - Space Wolves Pack box
• Base - GW basing kit base or at least some rubble from here
• Modeling Putty? - if I need it, I have some blue/grey stuff
• Glue, pokey things, etc. - check

Once I figure out the Wolf model I am going to use, I will add in Part 2 of this article.

So far I’ve seen people use High elf lions, Chaos warrior horses, Chaos hounds, and juggernauts for their TWC conversions.  I’m planning on using Chaos spawn on gribbly tentacle discs, on 60mm bases.

Yeah I am going to be using some Chaos hounds for mine, I have things figured out now and need to order some bases, then part 2 will be done up.
